Why do I love intermittent fasting?

June 6, 2023 by Adam Mazek

I love intermittent fasting because I feel much better thanks to doing it.

Moreover, I have a slim and athletic silhouette. This way of eating and living changed my life forever. I have no doubts that I will be doing it until the end of my life. The truth is that I have a comparison between being fat and slim. In 2011 I weighed 99 kg (218,25 pounds). Today (I wrote this text on 23rd April 2022), I weigh 72 kg (158,73 pounds). I am 178 cm tall (70 inches). Is there any difference between being slim and fat? Yes, of course, the difference is tremendous. I do not see any advantages to being overweight.

On the other hand, I see many advantages of being slim. Intermittent fasting helped me to sustain my usual weight. That’s why I love it. Being slim possesses not only visual benefits.

Undoubtedly, I have much more power and energy. I feel that my muscles are growing up. Moreover, I do not feel anxious anymore. My mood is stable.

I have much more confidence. I can focus much better than before. My mind works faster. The truth is that I did not know that I could feel better before starting intermittent fasting. Now I know I felt much worse when regularly eating, from morning to evening. What does my intermittent fasting look like? Until today (I started practicing it after Christmas in 2020), I eat only between 7 p.m. and 12 p.m.
Moreover, I avoid eating processed food (including bread, pasta, cakes, etc.) as much as possible. I focus on eating eggs, meat, vegetables, and nuts. I have no doubts that this way of life (I do not consider intermittent fasting as a diet!) is suitable for my health and well-being. From the evolutionary point of view, the human body is not used to eating all the time. We should do intermittent fasting, except for children and pregnant/feeding women. Speaking shortly: I love intermittent fasting because it makes me stronger.
