I already wrote that I carved out myself both desire and ability to write in the English language.
Since the very beginning of managing the www.adammazek.com blog, I write in English. I do it because I know that the readers of my website can be found all over the world. They do not have to be Polish. From which countries do people regularly read my blog? Many include Australia, Vietnam, India, Pakistan, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, United Kingdom, Ireland, USA, and Canada. I believe that the desire to write had been sleeping in my mind for most of the time. Sometimes I try to answer a question of what writing is. Undoubtedly, writing is transforming one’s thoughts into written words. Of course, it does not matter if the paper is real or virtual. In both cases, a person who writes shares one’s ideas with contemporaries and future generations.
Undoubtedly, I write because I want to leave my thoughts and insights to other people.
The truth is that I have been admiring people who flawlessly operated words. For me, these geniuses are, among others, Fyodor Dostoyevski and Stanislaw Lem. Is that all mean that the beginning of my journey with writing started smoothly? No. When I wrote my first post, I did it for more than half a day. As far as I remember, it was May 2017. I did not know what to write. I felt that I have nothing to say at all. How wrong I was! Indeed, this post is my written text number 765. Today, I can write one post within twenty minutes.
This text I wrote on the 14th of May, 2021. We can easily count that it’s been four years after writing the first text. I do not want to stop it. I genuinely enjoy this mental activity and exercise of transforming thoughts into written words. Last but not least, I feel that I have many things to say about broadly defined art and lifestyle. Still, I try to write something about humanity and the place of humans in this strange world.
