The human body is wondrous and powerful because it can not only stand constantly eating.
I reminded myself that the human body is remarkable and robust during the second experiment. It was a time when I was not eating for 49 hours. I was drinking only water and coffee, nothing more. I reminded myself that hunger is the state of mind. Of course, I do not write about famine and people dying from starvation. I talk about working people living in the broadly defined Western world in the third decade of the XXI century. Most of these people do not know what hunger is. I am not an exception. Most of us know only the appetite for food. If you do not believe me, my Dear Friend, I recommend fasting.
Drink only water, coffee, and tea for as long as possible. Believe me, while fasting for 48 hours, my organism did not feel hungry.
It was my mind telling me I should eat something. The human body is wondrous and powerful because it can stand many days without food. Most people mentioned above became food slaves. They eat because they believe it makes them healthy. Unfortunately, they do not feel they have become addicted to it. The fasting period provides enjoyment on the highest possible level. One’s thinking process becomes fast and transparent. There are many advantages of fasting. I will give some of them at the end of this text. Still, by doing it (and exposing your body to cold!), undoubtedly, you will feel, my Dear Friend, that your body is an absolute natural wonder.
Here are some other fasting’s advantages:
- It meliorates your concentration;
- Fasting triggers weight loss;
- It gives you the power to act and to think;
- Fasting reverses the aging process in your cells;
- It reduces inflammation;
- Fasting can extend your life.
