The impact of winter at the beginning of 2021 in Poland was strong.
This post will refer to my post published in the past. What was the name of the text? It was “Chilling cold.” It wrote that:
When I felt on the 25th of November 2020 a chilling cold, I started to imagine myself walking through Warsaw’s snowy streets with a camera in my hand, in the freezing and winter scenery. I do not remember when I last was walking through the snow with minus temperature degrees. It was probably between 2017 and 2018. I miss cold weather and chilling cold.
The current post I wrote on the 27th of February 2021. On Warsaw’s streets, there are still remaining leftover of the snow. The temperature today was +10 Celsius degree (+50 Fahrenheit degree). There was freezing cold during January and February 2021, and there were tonnes of snow lying on Warsaw’s pavements and streets. It was a period when I stopped missing numbing weather and chilling cold. Poles didn’t see such a long and hast freezing cold since winter 2017/2018. It was a time when I finally could take photographs with snow! I wrote it many times before, but it is proper to note that snow photos make frames poetically minimalistic.
I love winter scenery not only in Warsaw but also in my beloved little town, Brok.
Winter at the beginning of 2021 was a time that I, without a doubt, remember for a long time. The lowest temperature while my photo strolling during winter at the beginning of 2021, as far as I remember, was -13 Celsius degrees (8,6 Fahrenheit degrees). It was cold enough to not be able to scroll iPhone, for example. Walking without winter gloves with a camera in one’s hand is merely impossible. We should never forget to wear clothes proper for the current weather, whether it is winter or hot summer.
