When I hear a “work ethic” phrase, I often think about Michael Jackson and Cristiano Ronaldo.
An American artist and a Portuguese football player exemplify how mixing unbelievable work ethic and talent can provide astonishing results. People are admiring the works of the two geniuses mentioned above on an unprecedented scale. Last time I listened to Michael Jackson’s “Bad” album (released in 1987). While listening to songs from one of the greatest albums ever made, I see Michael Jackson giving a high five to Cristiano Ronaldo. Moreover, while listening to the same album, I see in my imagination Cristiano Ronaldo’s football virtuosity before celebrating with Michael Jackson his subsequent goal in his career. I do not have to mention that Cristiano Ronaldo is the best football forwarder ever, who scored 803 goals (I wrote this text on the 11th of January, 2022).
Did I get insane by comparing and mixing the two geniuses above?
Perhaps. Still, the truth is that to say that they were (Michael Jackson died in 2009) and are (Cristiano Ronaldo is still an active player) doing their job passionately is like to say nothing. Their work ethic is something inspirational. Of course, in this text, I also want to stress that Michael Jackson and Cristiano Ronaldo had talent in their specialties. Still, as far as I know and remember, they were titans of hardworking. They devoted their lives to their professional career. They were focused on almost 100% of what they were doing.
I sometimes wonder what the world would look like if most of us possessed similar to Jackson’s and Ronaldo’s work ethics. The truth is that I always do my best while working. Of course, I’d already written in one of the previous posts that we should work hard only if we believe in something. Did Michael Jackson believe in music? Does Cristiano Ronaldo like to play football? The answers are obvious.
