Worse resistance to cold.

Today I will write what makes worse resistance to cold.

I wrote this text on the 26th of May, 2022. It was a day when I took a cold shower in the early morning (6.15 a.m.), as usual. Still, before I took a shower, I felt that I was sleepy and that I could sleep much longer. During this shower, I started to feel cold faster than usual. Then, I reminded myself that when I was walking in summer clothes in frigid temperatures, my cold resistance was better when I was rested. Speaking shortly: fatigue makes resistance to cold worse. The more slept you are, the better your resistance to cold will be. I proved it to myself while walking in frigid temperatures and while taking a cold shower.

I remember days with freezing temperatures at the beginning of 2022.

During these days, I walked for 30-40 minutes in the evening. I was doing it after my office work. The truth is that during these walks, I rarely do street photography because the daylight in Poland lasts short, about 8 hours (from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.). During these walks, I felt that my resistance to cold is not as strong as during weekends. During weekends, when I could sleep longer than usual, I did street photography being rest. I remember that my resistance to coldness was on a higher level. For me, this is proof that fatigue impacts one’s resistance to frigid temperatures. Taking a cold shower in the morning is another issue that proves all these things.

In conclusion, I want to state that it is always better to expose one’s body to cold after a long sleep. One must be rested to cope with the cold. Still, I recommend exposing your body to frigid temperatures even if you are tired, my Dear Friend. You will feel cold earlier while fatigued, but it is still worth doing it. Cold is beneficial to our mental and physical health and, in general, to our well-being.
