I wrote the “Write, for God’s sake, write!” text on the 28th of May, 2025, while fatigued after eight hours of work in the office and rucking after it.
While rucking, I made 13k steps with 32 kg (71 lbs.) of weight on my back and shoulders. But why did I name this text “Write, for God’s sake, write!”? I did because, after the whole day of mental and physical effort, I was drained. Too tired to write anything fresh straight out of my mind. But I knew that even in my fatigue, I felt the urge to write. I wanted to share something not only with you, my Dear Friend, but also with future generations. Still, I did not know what I wanted to communicate.
Perhaps I will never have groundbreaking ideas, and my texts will remain a lost piece of writing, like the letters hidden in the bottle and thrown into the sea.
I felt that writer’s block captured me. After realizing it, I told myself, “Write, for God’s sake, write!” and that’s how I came up with the title of this post. I have written many times that if one lacks inspiration in writing, one of the best ways to break through it is to write literally what your mind tells you. All other words and sentences you read, my Dear Friend, flew straight out of my mind soon after writing the title of this text.
Also, I believe the first sentence to write is always the hardest one. Once you write the first sentence, another one should come more easily. These thoughts about writing I wanted to share with you, my Dear Friend, without actually knowing what I wanted to write. That’s how it is in my way. I am only a human, not a demigod. I never know when writer’s block can catch me.
