This text will describe a process about writing “Diaries.” The fact is that quite funny and odd things are happening during the process of emerging a subsequent edition of “Diaries.”
Like you undoubtedly noticed, my Dear Friend, since September 2019, I am regularly publishing monthly editions of “Diaries.” My self-publication is a summarization of things that happened here on this web site, in the past. The first edition was describing all the things which happened on www.adammazek.com web site in September 2017. The second copy presented posts of October 2017. All subsequent versions of “Diaries” describes all things which happened in the past. Speaking more precisely, they provide details from two years back. So what’s a strange is happening during writing “Diaries?”
The first issue is the fact that I do not publish current things but from the two-years-before period.
The second interesting is the fact that all my texts which I publish on this web site, first I write in English. To be more precise, most of the posts are published not in my mother-tongue language Polish, but English. During writing “Diaries,” I translate myself from English into Polish. I think it’s kind of odd, but I think it’s nice to stand out positively from the crowd. To put it briefly: I believe that few people first write in a foreign language and then translate their writings into their native language.
A role model for me is the unsurpassed master, an English writer of Polish origin, Joseph Conrad.
Do I aim to become second Joseph Conrad? No. It is not my target. What I want is to remain the first Adam Mazek. Moreover, I want to have fun while creating all new things simply. These things are photographs, texts, and mentioned many times, “Diaries.” Of course, the ultimate goal is to inspire and encourage others to awakening in their souls, an artist. I believe that we all possess, more or less, a kind of artistry in our souls. It is only up to us whether we will dig and try to find this artist in our souls. I wish you, my Dear Friend, never stop searching this little artist in your imagination. For me, writing “Diaries” is another brick in the wall in all my searchings.
