Today I want to say something about my writing history. During the first 32 years of my life, I have never thought that I would be running a personal blog.
Why? I am confident that if someone asked me, during the period mentioned above, what would be my blog’s main topic, I would have no idea.
Nonetheless, one circumstance could prove that maybe in the future, I would write something about art.
In general, I work as an accountant. I studied economics and finished a master’s degree in 2009. Nevertheless, before I did it, I studied tourism for a bachelor’s degree. During tourism studies, I was writing my graduation work about… the history of art! To be more precise, the whole title sounded like this: “Krakow and Vienna – European capitals of culture – a continuation of tradition.” I finished these studies in 2007. I think it is a proper moment to say hello to all my friends from those times. Spending time with you was one remarkable pleasure for me. Thanks for everything!
Back to the main topic, I distinctly remember the time of how I was writing this work. By running this website and writing everyday content, I feel that I somehow refer to those past times.
For example, I remember how much joy brought to me the fact that I was waking up early in the morning (usually between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m.). After the morning toilet, I prepared a coffee, and I started to write at about 7 am. I had been working for three hours, and at 10 am, I already had a feeling that I accomplished minimum things to do regarding my graduation work. The rest of the day, I focused on something else (or continue writing later). Of course, I should also mention that it was the time that I didn’t work during my bachelor’s studies.
Today I work. But, I am still able to wake up at 6 a.m. and write a post. This post is another proof. After work, especially between the spring – late autumn seasons, I often go to take some pictures. After coming back home, I am still able to write something additional.
Now, I assume that unconsciously I was missing the activity connected with writing about art since I finished my bachelor’s degree in 2007. But luckily, ten years after completing my bachelor’s graduation work, in 2017, I came back to writing about art. And you know what, my Dear Friend? I do not want to stop doing this. I want to continue this activity until the end of my life. Why? Simply. It is excellent fun for me.
