Today (I wrote this text on the 25th of May, 2026), I took 582 pictures and 31.6k steps!
Am I proud of myself? Of course, I am. I would lie if I told the opposite. After all, I do not take 582 pictures daily. Still, I do not plan to take such long photo walks in the near future, except on vacation. In June, we will probably visit the Lithuanian city of Kaunas, and in July, the Lithuanian seaside town of Palanga. For the rest of normal working (please remember, my Dear Friend, that I work in a broadly defined finance area) and walking, I plan to stick to what I was doing earlier. In short, I plan to take between 10k and 15k steps, and while doing so, I plan to walk with a heavy rucksack (we call it rucking).
The main reason for this is the lack of time to do it regularly.
My professional job won’t allow me to take long walks (over 20k steps) frequently. Of course, I could practice it during the weekends. Still, I prefer to take shorter walks with a heavy backpack on weekends. After all, yesterday I wrote that I feel the longer photo walks I took between the 21 and 22nd of May, 2026, contributed to weakening my muscles. I simply felt and saw it. I cannot explain it, but it simply happened. Having muscles is equal to good health.
There is no doubt about it.
That’s why I do not want to resign from rucking. On the contrary, I’ve just ordered another rucksack from my favorite Polish producer, Wisport. I ordered their 3rd backpack through the www.militaria.pl website during a sale. This third rucksack will be my second backup one. I already have the first backup in Warsaw. I will put this one at my beloved Parents’ house in Brok.
