Did Adam and Eve leave the paradise because it was too dull?
I believe most of us dream of the perfect world, with no crime, no aggression, where everyone would be happy forever and ever, living eternally. I can imagine that, in such a strange world, there would be no room for pain, e.g., from rucking or cold. Also, everyone would have plenty of food in paradise. Does that mean people living in a hypothetical paradise would be obese? It is highly possible. The more I do rucking, exposing my body to cold (by taking cold showers and walking in summer clothes in frigid temperatures), and do intermittent fasting (how happy I am that I do not have to have a full stomach all the time!), the more I understand why Adam and Eve left the paradise.
They wanted to explore the world and gain some wisdom.
They left paradise for knowledge. I can easily imagine they wanted to experience and explore something new and unknown. They wanted to live even though life can be harrowing, both physically and mentally, for every single human being. Easy life in heaven did not offer too much except lying and eating all the time (for me, this vision is rather nightmarish).
That’s why, paradoxically, I am acquiring a little bit of paradise in my heart, mind, and soul by doing difficult things like rucking, exposing my body to cold, or eating for a short period during a day (in general, I do not eat earlier than 7 p.m.). By doing it, I feel alive, and there’s nothing more precious than this feeling. I choose the hard way of adversities, pain, and discomfort to ultimately win the game called life, because I chose getting out of my comfort zone, and I want to know life, even if this can be painful.
