I think that the primary purpose of Art is to evoke emotions in other people.
Art should touch people’s souls. It should produce an unusual, unspeakable, and elusive feeling. Art possesses healing powers. It is mental therapy. For people’s souls, hearts, and minds. If you do not know why I take photos, why I created this blog, the answer is: for myself and you. I treat it as a method of mental development. By taking photographs, writing posts, and running this website, I feel like I am continually toughening self-discipline. I train my imagination. When shooting photos on the streets, I feel like a visitor from another planet somehow. I want to see what human civilization brings to me. Moreover, I am curious about every corner of the streets of Warsaw.
I am interested in every visual detail which surrounds me.
Creating art is one of the most healing, both soul, heart, and mind therapies humans could ever dream. It is one of the best ways to feel freedom in your soul. Art is one of the best ways (equally with reading, traveling, and talking to people) to gain knowledge about surrounding our world. The more we get wisdom, the more questions we are starting to ask ourselves. The more inquiries we ask, the more doubts we have. Lastly, the more we have doubts, the faster we try to develop with our passion, we are searching for answers. The funniest thing is that we will never find answers to the most critical existential questions which humans have been asking since they started to think.
“But why do you write about it? What do you want to tell us?” you can ask, my Dear Guest.
I want to say that I did not know about all these previously written things for most of my life. Luckily, I see them now. I want to share my knowledge with you. Creating art is one of the most healing gifts. If you create, make photographs, write, dance, sing, and so on, you become more powerful deep in your soul. You are developing; you start to be more confident, you feel free. Lastly, you feel like a human.
