In today’s post (I wrote it on the 8th of March, 2026), I will provide some insights regarding my association with death.
I associate death with night, with piercing, deafening silence and stillness. That is why I try to walk as much as possible—without headphones in my ears, so that I can not only see but also hear what the world has to offer me. Of course, I try to walk as much as possible during the day to feel the wonderful reality. I want reality to permeate my soul as much as possible. Why did I decide to write about death? After all, it’s been a beautiful, sunny Sunday in my beloved hometown, Brok, the northeastern part of Mazovia. The day was so magnificent, the Sun was shining so brightly that I simply wanted this day to last forever.
Of course, I know that most dream of eternal life, full of great moments (wouldn’t be a nightmare?).
On the other hand, I knew this day wouldn’t last forever. I knew that the night would come up, the Sun would disappear behind the horizon, and that the beautiful song of the birds would change to silence. Then, I realized it was some kind of allegory between life and death. That’s how association with death appeared in my mind. Dark, cold, and deaf death will come to all of us, sooner or later. It is the only fair moment in life: the fact that we will all die is the fairest thing in this magnificent world.
I love my life, and I love reality.
Even the darkest and coldest nights can be considered beautiful and can provide many great memories. That’s why I am not afraid of death. I know it would reach me, but in the face of death, I want to tell myself I made, during my lifetime, one of the most important things I could do for myself and humanity: that I was creating something out of nothing. This text and the photos attached to it are the proof.
