What if we do not seek life’s sense, but an experience of being alive?
Thanks to street photography, I feel alive every time I do it. Each time I walk and take pictures on Warsaw’s streets, I feel awakened. I feel mindful. I know that I am here and now, without the need to analyze the past and worry about the future. I walk, therefore I am, I would say. I wrote this text on the 18th of May, 2026. It was a day when I was doing street photography (this time without a heavy rucksack – my muscles must rest sometimes). I took almost 13k steps and took over 100 photos. While walking, sometimes I was literally switching off my mind. Even though my body was working, I felt that sometimes I was thinking about anything. Undoubtedly, I felt I was happy. Indeed, I was alive.
The more I walk, the more I take pictures on Warsaw’s streets, the more I feel it could be my personal life’s sense.
I was writing many times that while walking, I am frequently thinking (or not thinking at all, as in the case written above) about life’s sense. There is only one eternal and proper conclusion: we will never know life’s sense. Still, perhaps we do not have to seek it. Perhaps our aim is to experience being alive? I do not know if it makes sense. Luckily, I also do not know if our lives have sense. I do not have to know all the things happening around us. I do not have to know the answers to all the questions. I am a simple man who simply enjoys everything that life brings to me. I think I need to go to sleep. Tomorrow I will be working in the office, and I plan to return with a heavy rucksack (about 30 kg [66 lbs]).
