The older I get, the more I realise that it is much better to take a longer sleep rather than eat breakfast.
I wrote this text on the 9th of November, 2025. It was a day when I slept for nine hours. Earlier, on Saturday, I slept for eleven hours. During these two days, I was rucking with a hectic amount of kilograms on my back and shoulders (37.5 kg [83 lbs] by taking 13k steps yesterday and 11k steps today. Yesterday, I took over 100 photos, and today, over 200 photos. Today, while walking, I realised I would not do all these things without long, deep, healthy sleep. Also, I cannot imagine rucking with such a heavy burden with a full stomach. For me, it is simply impossible.
That’s why I recalled myself, not the first time in my life, it is much better to take a longer sleep rather than eat breakfast.
If you read my blog regularly, my Dear Friend, undoubtedly, you know how frequently I eat. Still, if you are new to my website, I will provide you with a short description: I’ve been doing intermittent fasting since Christmas 2020. In general, I do not eat earlier than 7 p.m. Also, I avoid processed food, sugar, or carbs, with pasta at the forefront. I try to eat a balanced diet consisting of meat, vegetables, eggs, and nuts.
Also, I do not drink alcohol and do not smoke shitty stuff.
Of course, these are general rules. Sometimes I eat fast food or eat a cake (especially when we are on a trip with my beloved Kamilka). To put it briefly, I do not eat breakfast or dinner. I cannot imagine starting my day with an early wake-up and eating food. For me, it would not be healthy. I choose longer sleep, rucking with an empty stomach in the cold, and eating in the evening with my beloved Kamilka.
