Today, I will write about my body empowerment practices.
Our body is meant to help us in life, not hinder us. The more I do:
a) intermittent fasting (in general, I do not eat earlier than 7 p.m.);
b) rucking (it is a form of exercise where one walks with a heavy rucksack – as of today [I wrote this text on the 2nd of May, 2026], my record is walking with a rucksack weighing 37.5 kg [83 lbs];
c) expose my body to cold by taking cold showers and walking in summer clothes in frigid temperatures.
The more I feel and see that our body is meant to help us in life, not hinder us.
Today, while walking and doing street photography (I took over 11k steps and did over 220 photos on Warsaw’s streets), I realized, not for the first time in my life, that thanks to carrying a heavy weight on my back and shoulders, I became, literally and figuratively, a more robust human. Of course, I haven’t become a demigod. Still, while being forty-one years old, I feel that I’ve never felt so great in my own body. Of course, the fact that I do not drink alcohol, do not eat any sweets, and do not smoke shitty things also helped in achieving this tremendous goal.
Sometimes, when I see strangers’ faces, I read from their faces that they do not feel well. I do not want to be one of them.
The truth is that I feel and look younger than I am. I am doing all these things not to look beautiful, but to feel good in my own body. Of course, looking good is a “side effect” of doing all these things. I think I will be posting for a little bit longer during the next few days. Again, I will do it, because I want to feel good in my own body, and I want to remain a healthy person. I will finish writing about my body empowerment practices.
