I already wrote a post about water, but I did not write anything about one of my favorite drinks – coffee.
I have been drinking a lot of coffee for many years. The truth is that I do not remember when exactly my coffee journey began. For many years I had been drinking a lot of instant coffee. Now I know that it was not good for me because I had cramps in the calves. When I stopped drinking instant coffee, these cramps disappeared. Still, the truth is that I love to drink a usual black roasted espresso (without milk, sugar, or honey!). During the fasting period (which, in my case, lasts from 12 a.m. – 7 p.m.), we can drink only water, coffee, tea, and broth. I drink a lot of water (for more information, click here and espresso.
During the beginning of my journey with intermittent fasting, I was also drinking broth. I did it because I was afraid I would be hungry, and broth helped to cheat my mind regarding hunger. Tea I drink only when I am in Brok, in my beloved parents’ house. During most of the day, it is water and espresso that help me to be alive.
I cannot imagine living without espresso.
Perhaps I am addicted to it. Do I worry about it? No. As far as I know, there is nothing wrong with drinking espresso during fasting. I drink 3-5 cups of coffee per day. I think I will do it until the end of my life. Coffee is delicious, and, like many other people, I love the smell of it. I do not know why I haven’t written about one of my favorite drinks. Perhaps, if I would receive extra power thanks to the black coffee, I’d written something earlier. Still, the truth is that I do not receive extra power thanks to this delicious drink.
