This text won’t be revealing and groundbreaking. Still, while doing street photography on the 6th of May, 2023 (it is also the date of writing this text), I had some thoughts about connection.
What were my thoughts? I thought that nothing stood alone. Everything is connected with everything else: trees with climate, people with the environment, and societies with each other. While I was walking, it was 8 degrees Celsius outside (46,4 degrees Fahrenheit). Moreover, it was raining heavily. Fresh drops of water were bombarding not only me but everything surrounding me, including trees. Then, I thought about connection, about how water connects everything on our planet, with broadly understood life at the forefront. Water flows on Earth’s surface. It rains from the clouds to evaporate into the atmosphere. On Earth’s poles, there are masses of permanent ice.
Whether we accept it or not, we all are connected with each other, not only with the broadly understood Nature and Universe but, yes, with each other.
That’s why, in general, I do not want to judge other people. OK, I made an exception by criticizing the Russians for supporting the war in Ukraine. Still, it was an exception confirming the general rule. Did I lose connection with reality by writing about all these things? Perhaps I did. After all, isn’t wandering through mundane streets and taking pictures of old rags and garbage a losing connection with reality? I think other people should answer this question.
Nevertheless, I believe the most crucial thing is not to lose contact with the people you love. The last thing I want to say in this text is not to forget we are not alone in this world. Take care of each other as much as possible. Still, remember, my Dear Friend, to be able to care for others, you must first take care of yourself. Work hard, but remember to rest and sleep. Good night!
