Today (I wrote this text on the 18th of January, 2026), there was day number three of inactivity. How did I feel?
I would lie if I wrote that I felt great. After all, my leg still hurts, and I am hobbling while moving. Three days ago, I had a gastrocnemius muscle injury. The Doctor told me to spare myself for 2-3 weeks. That’s why I am inactive for three days, and there are still many days ahead of me to be inactive. Ok, tomorrow I will go to the hospital to have an ultrasound examination of my calf. Also, tomorrow, I will have my first full day of work from home office, while being injured. There is a high possibility that on Tuesday (I wrote this text on Sunday), I will go to the office, because I will have an important conversation with my manager, and I simply want to show myself with crutches.
I do not want to take sick leave, but I feel responsible for my duties in my workplace.
Still, I hope that sitting more frequently than during the weekend would not worsen my health. Let’s see what the future holds. As of now, I am mainly reading books, writing new texts, scheduling new posts on my blog, and updating my Portfolio (to see some stuff, click this link). I hope to have some day (like yesterday and today) when I will write not one new text, but two. Yesterday, I wrote, among other things, about boredom. Today, as you see, my Dear Friend, I am writing about inactivity. Considering I frequently write about walking, doing street photography, or rucking, I think it is a good plot twist on my blog. I haven’t figured out what the topic for my second text today will be. Still, I simply know I should use some additional time for writing. After all, I love doing this mental activity.
