I love to photograph artistically dismissed places, areas where people just pass through, areas where, ostensibly, there is nothing interesting to photograph.
I wrote this text on the 23rd of March, 2026. It was a day when I went out early in the morning to pick up my car from the mechanic. I did it before my office work (I worked remotely on that day). I did not have a heavy rucksack on my arms and shoulders as I wanted to return by car and start working remotely immediately after returning. Still, I had something interesting. It was a new www.adammazek.com t-shirt. I ordered t-shirts on the 15th of March, and over a week later, I was able to debut in one of the t-shirts. How happy I am that I can be a walking advertisement for my own creative endeavors. Still, I was supposed to write about dismissed places.
Indeed, today, while walking in the Włochy district, observing cars and people going to their jobs, focused on their aim: to reach the workplace and do their job, without noticing anything spectacular on their way to work, I felt sad somehow.
I knew we were in places where, ostensibly, nothing spectacular happens and where there is nothing great to find to photograph or to cherish with one’s sight. How wrong are those people! I am not one of them. For me, the more ugly and mundane the area is, the more potential it has to be eternalized in a photograph. It is my role to do it, and I love it. I hope that tomorrow I will be able to do street photography straight after my office job. I do not know if I can manage to do it as I have a hectic time in my professional area (please remember, my Dear Friend, that I work in a broadly defined finance area), but I know I will simply try.
