I think that’s true wisdom in life. Living in the present, being mindful of the here and now, is the key to finding joy in everyday life.
I hope to stick to this life wisdom until my death. After all, I do not want to waste my time on unnecessary and unimportant things. After all, how could it be possible that I would worry about things I do not possess or perhaps do not even exist? It’s literally a waste of time and energy. I much prefer to cherish what I have here and now, without regretting what I lost and imagining what I can have in the future. I think the first third of this post is writing about the same thing. This is how it often works in my case. I often write on the www.adammazek.com blog that we should not pay too much attention to the unreachable past and unknown future. Street photography helped me realize it.
While walking on the streets of Warsaw, I am practically always happy that I can simply walk and enjoy the surroundings.
Even if these surroundings seem mundane, for me (and for billions of other people who will be born after my death), they are not dull. I practically always feel thrilled when I am able to walk through Warsaw’s streets. I know that for most people, this may seem crazy. Perhaps it is. Still, when I simply walk and enjoy the usual hustle and bustle of the streets, I feel like an alien who has just landed on planet Earth and who is curious about everything he sees.
Or, I am simply curious as a child who is just discovering the world. I believe there is no better way to believe in reality and the present moment than doing street photography. The joy of capturing the essence of life in a single frame, the thrill of discovering beauty in the mundane, and the satisfaction of freezing a moment in time-these are the gifts of street photography. Take your camera, my Dear Friend, go out, and photograph everything that catches your eye.
