I wrote the post “Here comes the Cold King” on the 6th of October, 2023. It was a day when I was doing street photography at 14 degrees Celsius (57.2 degrees Fahrenheit).
While walking, I noticed many people wore winter caps and jackets. I wore the www.adammazek.com t-shirt and had no winter cap and gloves (only jeans because I went straight after work). Did I get cold? Of course not. For me, it was average temperatures. I was happy that I could forget about hot days. Still, when I saw most people wearing winter accessories, my mind started singing, “Here comes the Cold King.” Undoubtedly, you know that this text’s title refers to one of the most magical The Beatles songs, “Here Comes The Sun King.” Indeed, the Cold King is coming.
The temperatures during upcoming days will be even colder (10-11 degrees Celsius [50 – 51.8 degrees Fahrenheit]).
I suppose that the theme of exposing the body to cold will dominate my blog for an unknown period. It is simply because I am thrilled when I think about it. I cannot wait to walk in frigid temperatures wearing summer clothes and see other passers-by walking wearing winter clothes from head to toe. Today, when I was walking, I felt I had the power to move mountains. I felt almost like a demigod who could conquer the world.
Does it mean I want to do it like Putin does in Ukraine?
Of course, no. The last thing I want to do is to harm or kill other humans. I want to dominate the world by doing street photography, writing texts, and preparing subsequent “Diaries'” editions. In the power of art, I trust. The Cold King is slowly getting closer to everyone living in Warsaw. I wish you, my Dear Friend, not to fight with him but to ally with cold and believe that you can also conquer the world.
