In general, I tend to repeat the “I am thinking aloud” sentence many times, not often in my professional life environment, but also in my mind, while I am having an internal debate.
My first Clifton Strengths (I tend to name it “Gallup Talents,” even though it is not the official name, but a popular one) is Intellection. This means I love talking to myself, analyzing problems with the tool named “mind,” and musing. I believe that the fact that I am running a blog and writing texts proves it. Also, I believe that the fact I tend to say the “I am thinking aloud” phrase many times, not only in my mind, but also while talking with other people, also proves it. I remember that, in the past, I wrote a text entitled “If you’re lonely, you can talk to me.” It was inspired by the Beatles’ song, “Hey Bulldog.”
Nevertheless, I wrote there (from what I remember) that when I am alone, I am not bored, because I have always had myself as a companion.
Internal dialogues occur in my head practically daily. That’s another proof that the Gallup Talents can tell many things about one’s behaviors and natural things one likes to do. While writing all these things, I want to stress that by saying to other people that I am thinking aloud, I communicate to them that the words they would hear are not the final answer, but rather a way of figuring out the answer. As almost everything else in my case, the process of thinking relates to the process itself. Sometimes I won’t find a final answer or solution in my head. Still, I believe my musing can oftentimes bring me, and other people, to find solutions to many things. That’s how I see the process of my aloud thinking.
