Of course, the title of this text refers to one of the most optimistic songs, “You Can Go Your Own Way,” by Fleetwood Mac.
Sometimes reality is too dull for me. Not having the possibility to walk as much as I would like to is sometimes a little bit too depressing, or even painful. I wrote many times that I am not a demigod. The truth is that I can also have worse days, like today. I wish I were healthy (I wrote this text on the 29th of January, 2026; two weeks since I got an injury in my right calf) and could walk with a heavy backpack almost daily. Also, I wish I could walk in summer clothes in frigid temperatures. Does it mean that there are no frigid temperatures and no snow in Warsaw? On the contrary. Snow and freezing temperatures have been in Warsaw practically since the beginning of 2026.
Still, when I have an injured leg, I simply do not feel the desire to challenge myself with cold.
While writing all these things, I realized that throughout the last 10 years (I started doing street photography in October 2015), indeed, I started to go my own way. After all, who walks in summer clothes (including the t-shirt with the name of my website) in freezing temperatures, wears a rucksack weighing 37.5 kg (83 lbs), and takes pictures of literally everything that catches my eye (including garbage). I do not know any other such person. Even when I have a little crisis, like today, I know I should never give up on my way to realizing my soul. I create, therefore I am. How happy I am that tomorrow will be Friday, and after this day I will be able to walk and take pictures on Warsaw’s streets. I could do it all the time, until I die.
