Unfortunately, this text won’t be about one of the greatest albums ever, Michael Jackson’s “Bad.”
The truth is, during my early childhood, I asked my beloved parents to play Michael Jackson’s vinyl records (“Bad” and “Thriller”) so I could listen to them and dance all the time as a young kid. This music gave me so much joy that I’m sometimes simply bad at focusing on my office work, and I don’t have many opportunities to develop my creative skills. For example, today (I wrote this text on the 28th of January, 2026), I was working for nine and a half hours. I frequently consider my work as an advantage because I am financially independent. I do not have to seek clients for my pictures. I do not take pictures that clients want. That’s a great advantage. Still, like everything else, it also has its disadvantages. Lack of time is the first one (perhaps the only one).
Ok, there is another one.
After work, I usually lack the energy and resources to write or create something meaningful. Today, I published the post “Sleep is the unsung hero of the creative process.” I wrote this text on the 4th of August, 2025. Did anything change during the last six months? Not at all. The writing process goes more quickly and smoothly when I am rested and after a long sleep. It won’t change anyhow.
That’s why I am sometimes bad at getting up early and focusing on my professional duties rather than reading (by doing it, I am nurturing my imagination and intellect), walking (walking without heavy rucksack relaxes me), rucking (walking with heavy backpack builds not only my muscles, but resilience), doing street photography (street photos are the core of my artistic activities), and writing (for me, it is a mental excercies for me). Ok, I will finish this writing to go to sleep. I do not want to get up being bad tomorrow.
