I believe running one’s website is one of the best ways to publish one’s insights and works of art (like pictures, in my case) in the third decade of the XXI century. That’s why, in blogging, I trust.
It was Eric Kim who encouraged me to launch my own web page. Thank you, Eric, for your wise advice! I launched the www.adammazek.com blog in September 2017. Earlier, I was publishing my photos on my private Facebook account. Still, I intuitively knew it was not what I wanted. Another inspiration I have had since 2013 was Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s self-publishing activities. It is not the case that a famous Russian writer inspired me to prepare only my own “Diaries.” Undoubtedly, he also inspired me to self-publish my own content on the blog by publishing his “A Writer’s Diary.” Most of the artists used tools available to them according to their times. That’s why cavemen painted walls in caves.
Moreover, that’s why the ancient Egyptians used scrolls made of papyrus, among others, to express themselves.
Since Johannes Gutenberg’s era, most people have been expressing their thoughts on printed paper. Today (I wrote this text on the 7th of February, 2023), I use the Internet to show other people my works of art and give them my insights on many topics. Undoubtedly, blogging became my way of living. It became an inseparable part of me and my lifestyle. I plan to manage this blog until the end of my life. It is not an accident that I became a walking advertisement for my artistic activities. How do I do it? Since the summer of 2021, I have been doing street photography in the www.adammazek.com t-shirt. I also do it in freezing temperatures. Indeed, on my website, you will find, my Dear Friend, a mix of results of everything I do and trust: street photography, walking, and writing. That’s why, in blogging, I trust.
