Today, many things are “insta.” It means that they are instant.
The fact is that instant is not only the tasteless and unhealthy soups made by pouring boiling water over the artificial powder and noodles (in Poland, we call it “Chinese soups”). Being “insta” may also refer to bodybuilding or losing one’s weight. All the people who are regularly going to the gym, who do workout, want to see the results of their efforts as soon as possible. Still, the fact is that if you do some exercises regularly, results should appear after months of training, not instantly.
Being “instant” also applies to the process of publishing photos and the desire to get instant gratification.
Everyone would like to see everything and preferably know everything in real-time, right away.
Hence, live streams on Social Media platforms are popular today. I go against the grain. I do the opposite regarding this trend. The fact is that I try to write texts as they would be read by someone from the future (e.g., cyber-archeologists who are rediscovering my online activity on the www.adammazek.com website, three hundred years after my death). The fact is that I leave the live broadcasts and streams to others to play with. I am not interested in instant gratification. I do not care how much likes I receive both on Facebook and Instagram. Information of how many followers I have on my Instagram account is worthless.
Unless your name is Cristiano Ronaldo or Robert Lewandowski, there is no significant matter on how many people are following your profile.
I do not want to be “instant.” The fact is that I wish to remain Adam Mazek, and I hope that my works will be read, watched, and analyzed many years after my death. This is my artistic activity’s true goal (along with having good fun while preparing all the stuff).
