I wrote this text on the 3rd of March, 2026, with a limited time to write.
Why did I have a limited time to write? Because I wanted to go to sleep. After all, in my professional work (please remember, my Dear Friend, I work in a broadly defined finance area), I am in the middle of the month-end closing. That’s why I have restricted time and resources to do whatever is outside my professional scope. Unfortunately, I was not able to do street photography today. I doubt I will be able to do it within the next few days. However, I am tremendously happy that I will go to my beloved Parents during the weekend. I hope to walk with my Parents in the healing forest in Brok; I cannot wait for the weekend to begin. I love life even when I have a hectic time with my office work.
The truth is that no matter what happens, both in my private and professional life, I always try to have a stoic attitude towards everything that is happening around me.
In times of crisis, following on Seneca’s approach, I try to imagine myself as a rock standing among the dark, restless, unfriendly sea. This rock is being hit not only by the large waves, but is also being blown by the cold wind, and is struck by dreadful thunder from the dark sky. Still, the rock is standing. I would say it is impossible to be indifferent to everything that is happening around us. Still, we can always try to do it. Undoubtedly, intermittent fasting (in general, I do not eat earlier than 7 p.m.), exposure to cold (by taking cold showers and walking in summer clothes in freezing temperatures), and rucking (my record is walking with a rucksack weighing 37.5 kg [83 lbs]) have helped me to become a much more resilient and robust human than I was before. Luckily, I have not become a demigod.
