The title of this song is a quotation of one of Led Zeppelin’s most magical songs, “Over the Hills and Far Away.”
The truth is that for the first thirty years of my life (between 1985 and 2015), I was one of the many men. I didn’t see the open road until I started creating, that is, taking photos on the streets of Warsaw, writing, and blogging. Undoubtedly, creating something out of nothing generates new possibilities for each human who creates. For many years, I felt a desire to photograph, to capture reality as it was. Still, I was convinced I needed to travel to exotic places to take stunning pictures.
How wrong I was!
If you feel the same, my Dear Friend, if you feel you need to move far away to take astonishing pictures, do the opposite. Take a camera in your hand, go out of your home, and photograph literally everything that catches your eye. Do not repeat my mistaken idea that one needs to go far from home to do great photographs. Believe me, there is a high possibility that the best pictures you will ever take will be close to your home. Open roads with unlimited possibilities are right behind your doors. The only thing you should do is to go outside with your camera and explore the mundane world, which is the best we could ever imagine.
The same is with writing.
If you think you do not have anything wise and crucial to say, think again. I have no doubt that your life, even if seemingly dull, is already a great script for a breathtaking movie, with plenty of drama, comedy, thriller, romance, and perhaps even horror. I think I’ve already written a text where I stated that the best movie I’ve ever watched is the movie called “Adam Mazek’s life.” It is only up to you whether you start transforming your thoughts, feelings, and experiences into written words and share them with the outside world. It is another open road, ready to be discovered and explored by you, my Dear Friend. I keep my fingers crossed for your creative journey called life!
