Sometimes I wonder what would happen if people would receive everything they want and would fulfill all their needs. I believe that if such a thing occurred, our life would become merely dull.
Who knows, maybe the fact that we do not possess everything that we would like to have, make life so exciting, intriguing, odd, and fun simultaneously? I think that’s the way it is. While strolling through the streets of Warsaw, I sometimes think that if I would receive unimaginable worldwide fame with a fortune for all my artistic activity, if Taschen would publish all my works of art, probably I would still do what I do. Is that mean that I am dreaming about fame? No, popularity is not something that I want to receive. What thrives me regarding my passion is having good fun while creating all new things. I do not need more material things. If all my needs would be fulfilled, I am convinced that this world would become nightmarish.
Moreover, if I would collect all other things about which I sometimes dream of, my life, undoubtedly, would also become dull.
What would our world look like if our satisfaction would be fulfilled within a few hours? How would we behave if all our needs were met within 24 hours? I believe that such a life would become a nightmare for us. First of all, our civilization would stop developing. Consequences would be hard to predict. But why do I write about all these things? Why is it so essential to me?
Sometimes I simply like to imagine the world as a different place.
Moreover, I like to imagine the world as a place of eternal heaven or hell. When I think about all these things, I realize that our world is not as bad as some people would say. This universe is quite specific. Still, I believe that it could look much worse if the creator of the cosmos would implement other solutions. What about you, my Dear Friend? Do you like to imagine the world as a different place than it is? Don’t you think that if all our needs were fulfilled, our world would be similar to hell?
