I am not used to writing about the current political events. Nevertheless, due to a lack of inspiration, I decided to write about the presidential elections 2025 in Poland that occurred on the 18th of May, 2025 (on the same day I also wrote this text).
I do not know what I can write about the presidential elections in 2025 in Poland. Together with my beloved Kamilka, we went to vote and we did what we were supposed to do. That’s it. I do not trust politicians, with Putin and Trump at the forefront. I believe that the economic success of today’s Poland is mainly due to the hard-working, normal people who live here in millions. Of course, politicians also did what they did. Still, knowing that we managed to escape from the fucking Soviets’ influence, there was no other choice but to go west to meet beloved Uncle Sam.
That’s why I do not pay attention too much for what did the Polish politicians between 1989 (the time when the Soviet Union colapsed) and 2025, because if we did not want to be under Russian influences (I hope we would never have to be “brothers” with Russians again), joining NATO and European Union was the only logic direction.
Do I have any expectations regarding the presidential elections of 2025? No, I do not know. I only hope that the government, together with the new president, will invest in the army and that they won’t frighten foreign investments in my homeland country. By not investing in the army, it would be an inevitable return to the influence of the fucking Russian Putin. I do not want it and treat it as a worst-case scenario. Nevertheless, I do not plan to worry about future political scenarios because I can only influence them by voting in elections. If I cannot control something, why should I worry about it? But one thing is clear: our responsibility as citizens is to vote and shape the future of our country.
