Sitting for too long is the start of my spine ache.
The first sentence of this text is a quotation of one of my previous texts entitled “Sitting.” Today (I wrote this text on the 26th of May, 2026), I want to loudly communicate that since I started practicing rucking, my spine ache miraculously disappeared. I have no doubt that it is connected with the fact that my back is much more muscular and stronger. In general, throughout many years (from what I recall since 2014 and until [more or less] when I started doing rucking in the middle of August, 2024), I had chronic pain in my lower back. Of course, sometimes the pain was more severe (especially when I was sitting for many hours in the office). On the other hand, sometimes the pain was not severe. Still, since I started rucking gradually, I’ve noticed a total lack of back pain.
I literally forgot about this pain.
Perhaps for people who avoid walking with heavy weights, such information seems impossible. Still, it is the truth. From what I remember, I started rucking with a backpack weighing 10 kg (22 lbs). Today, I walk with a rucksack weighing 40.5 kg (89 lbs). There is no better thing I could do for myself. The more I walk with a heavy rucksack, the more I feel and see that this hectic activity (believe me, it is not easy!!!) makes sense. Tomorrow, I plan to go to my office job with a rucksack weighing 30 kg (66 lbs).
I hope I will be able to do street photography after my office work. Also, I plan to repeat the same on the day after tomorrow. Then, I will take a rest (undoubtedly, my office job won’t let me walk and do street photography). Then, there will be a weekend and the possibility to walk with a 40.5 kg rucksack! And what about my spine ache? I do not remember how it feels to have this pain.
