Since 2017 I have been using an application that counts my steps. Steps counting started to be something crucial for me.
Almost every time while I am on a trail, whether it is a lonely photo walk, or walking with my beloved parents in Brok, or with my charming Kamilka, I measure the number of my steps. Once I heard that people should take at least 10,000 footsteps daily. Why? It is obvious, it is for our health. By taking photo walks and measuring footsteps, I know that I do two things that positively affect my mind, body, and soul. Thanks to taking photos, I know that I am developing my artistic soul. Moreover, while strolling on Warsaw’s streets, I am expanding my mindfulness skills. How? I do it thanks to contemplating many things. Walking is for my legs, back, and in general, for my physical health.
How many steps do I take while walking? Do I always manage to cross the barrier of 10,000 footsteps?
No. I am only human. That’s why I do not always make 10,000 steps. I always try to do it, but I do not always manage to do it. In the initial phase of measuring footsteps, I was mad that I did not manage to accomplish this sport’s challenge. Today I do not feel worse when I do not exceed the magical number of 10,000 footsteps. I do not want to have pressure given to me by myself. Walking and taking pictures is a free joy. I do not wish to have any aims regarding my passion.
What’s my record regarding taking steps daily? I made it in June 2020. I made 10,000 steps on a lonely photo walk in Rudniki. Then, I added another 20,000 footsteps in a walk with my beloved Dad. As we can easily count, I made 30,000 steps during a day. Today (I wrote this post on the 27th of June, 2021), steps counting became an addition to my street photography.
