Today (I wrote this text on the 26th of April, 2026), I will write about my street photography aesthetic.
To create art out of something that does not function as art. To gather together pieces of reality, to present them as something vague and unusual. It is my attitude towards doing street photography. While watching my photographs, I feel I could deep dive into them and sink into the otherworldly dimension they present. I think I could get lost in the world created by my photographs. I have no doubt that I already have enough photos to create stunning photo albums. Also, I believe that I wrote some crucial texts. I am convinced they could be easily added to my photo albums. Each time I am floating through my pictures from the past, I feel I am moving to other worlds and dimensions.
I feel that my life’s story is being glued together via my photos.
The older I am, the more I feel and see that I cannot live without doing street photography. Of course, if force majeure (e.g., health issues) prevents me from walking and taking photos on Warsaw’s streets, sooner or later, I would have to accept my fate. Still, until my health lets me do all these things, I won’t stop it, no matter what happens in my life. Even my professional career won’t stop me from doing street photography. Of course, I can have some periods when I would do street photography less frequently. I accept it.
Still, I will never accept my laziness regarding taking pictures.
I simply could not imagine it. In street photography, I trust. This is how I realize my soul. This is how I want to be remembered. I am convinced that putting together pieces of reality as art via pictures, where seemingly there is no art, is the best thing I can do for humanity. I want to be remembered via my street photography aesthetic.
