I wrote the “Street photography and rucking match perfectly” text on the 4th of May, 2026.
It was a day when I was doing street photography without rucking. Why did I decide to write such a text? It was because when I was walking and taking photos on Warsaw’s streets (I took over 13k steps and 150 pictures), I started to wonder what my day would be like if I was supposed to go to the swimming pool. After all, it was hot today, and the thought of swimming appeared in my mind. Then, I realized that I could not simply work (please remember, my Dear Friend, that I work in a broadly defined finance area; oftentimes more than eight hours daily), walk (oftentimes, for two hours), and then, after all these things, go swimming (in my prime time, between 2017 and 2018, I was swimming for one hour and forty minutes [with short brakes for a pee]).
It would be simply impossible.
It is not only the case that I would be physically exhausted. The truth is that I would not have time for all these things to do during one day. Still, I remember that before I started rucking, I was thinking that I needed some more physical exercise. For example, I was considering going to practice some martial arts. Still, each time I was thinking about it, the conclusion was the same: I would have to resign from walking and doing street photography on some days, when I would go for martial arts training.
I did not want the option.
I wanted to do all these things. Then, after returning with 4 or 5 kg on my back and shoulders with pistachios, the YouTube algorithms provided me a solution: rucking. Since I tried it in the middle of August, 2024, I knew that street photography and rucking match perfectly, and I do not have to seek physical exercise. The solution was there.
