I wrote this text on the 1st of January, 2026. It was a day when, not for the first time in my life, I realized I am doing street photography for no reason other than it is exciting to me.
Today, I was doing street photography in my beloved district, Mokotów, where I have lived since 2004. How happy I was that I could stroll in the same streets for the umpteenth time and still feel inspired by them. After all, without this inspiration, I would not have taken over 200 pictures. After realizing it, I told myself that there is no particular reason I do street photography other than that it is unbelievably exciting to me. Was there anything special today, except the fact that it was the first time I was doing street photography in 2026?
Yes, I was not rucking (I decided to take a short break), and there was really a lot of snow in the capital of Poland.
Thus, taking photos provided me more excitement than usual. Tomorrow, I will have another hectic day in my office work. Luckily, there will be a weekend after tomorrow. The temperatures should still be near 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit), as today, so I hope to do street photography in wintery scenery during the upcoming weekend. While writing all these things, I started to wonder how many times I will be able to do street photography in 2026. I hope I will be doing it quite regularly.
Do I have special plans for 2026?
No, I do not have such plans, except to continue everything I do as of today. Doing street photography is the core of my artistic activity. Also, I hope to keep walking with heavy rucksack for as long as possible. Keep your fingers crossed for my creative endeavors, my Dear Friend! I must go to sleep.
