I wrote the “Street photography is my way of life” text on the 30th of March, 2026, one day after my 41st birthday.
The more I take pictures on Warsaw’s streets, the more I realize that street photography is my way of life. Today, I was returning from my office work with a heavy rucksack on my back and shoulders (it weighed “only” 30 kg [60 lbs]). Luckily, I managed to get out of the office soon enough to take pictures of the mundane Polish reality. I love it! I took almost 12k steps and took over 170 pictures. That’s a good result. I know I had many things to do in my office job, but I simply had to go outside. Once I came back home, I logged in to my office job. Unfortunately, it is quarter-end, and, additionally, I am preparing financial statements, and we have an audit. That’s a lot!
Still, all these things did not prevent me from taking a walk.
The desire to take photos on Warsaw’s streets was too powerful. Walking around the streets, musing, rocking in the clouds, and searching for new (or old!) objects to be photographed is something that makes me feel great. I do not know if I will manage to take photos tomorrow. Perhaps there will be too much work in my professional job. Still, I do not worry about it, because I have six months ahead of me to take photos almost daily. I love spring. The truth is that I love summer, fall, and winter as well. As of now, I am tired, so I must go to sleep quickly to be as efficient as possible tomorrow. With a fresh mind and efficiency, there will be a chance that I will take some photos tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed for me, my Dear Friend.
