Why will street photography be a never-ending fun for me?
It is because I believe that each day, each moment, and each place is totally different and offers practically endless possibilities for taking pictures. I am proving it to myself each time I go out and take pictures on Warsaw’s streets. I wrote this text on the 12th of April, 2026. It was a day when I was not only rucking with the heaviest possible (for me) rucksack, weighing 37.5 kg (83 lbs), but I was also doing street photography in my beloved Warsaw district, Mokotów. I took almost 15k steps and took almost 200 pictures. The weather was beautiful. The sun was shining, and I felt that spring was coming. Speaking shortly, I felt inspired, not for the first time in life, by the mundane reality. I love this magic.
I love it when this magic happens, when everything that surrounds me is like a picturesque vision.
Does it mean that I am high? Does it mean I smoke, e.g., marijuana? Of course, not. In general, I am as sober as a judge. While walking and cherishing the beauty of Poland’s capital, I’ve realized it is impossible that street photography can bore me. Ok, I can imagine that some people will be bored by my pictures. I can imagine it, and I am totally fine with it. Still, I can simply imagine that as long as I walk, I will possess this child’s curiosity about the world surrounding me.
I cannot explain it.
The truth is that I simply feel it. Taking pictures on the streets gives me pure joy and never-ending fun, and I wish for all other people to possess a similar activity, which would be really inspiring for them. In creative processes, I trust. There is no other option. If something in this life has sense, it is broadly defined creative process.
