Stress your body in a controlled way.

I decided to write this text and encourage you to stress your body, my Dear Friend,  after reading my own post from the past. Which one?

The name of the post was „Welfare kills.” I published it on the 28th of April, 2022. On the same day, I realized I could develop my thoughts from the past. I have no doubts that welfare and laziness kill people slowly. To avoid it, we should stress our bodies in a controlled way. How can we do it? I know three fundamental ways that can save or extend people’s lives.

These methods are:

  1. Doing workout – I walk a lot. Earlier, I was swimming 4-7 days a week between 2011-2018. I started swimming for 30 minutes and ended with 1 hour and 40 minutes of swimming. Remember, my Dear Friend, that time I provided above did not include time spent at the reception desk and in the changing room. I was swimming literally for 1 hour and 40 minutes, with 2-3 breaks for a pee. Undoubtedly, many of you would say that swimming or, in general, doing a workout is relaxing. It is not stressing one’s body. The truth is that every physical action damage our body (muscles). Then, muscles are being „fed” by blood with oxygen and nutrients. If you know what muscle soreness is, you have an answer to why working out is stressful for our bodies.
  2. Intermittent fasting – we all love to eat. Preventing ourselves from eating is stressful not only for our bodies but mainly for our minds. Most of us, if only we could frequently eat, would do it almost all the time because we love it. Still, the truth is that too much food slowly kills us. That’s why most people (except children and pregnant and feeding women) should eat rarely. I eat only between 7 p. m. – 12 p.m. By not eating, I stress myself, but we can get used to it in the same way as we can get used to doing physical exercises.
  3. Exposing the body to cold – I take a cold shower every day. During the fall/winter season, I was walking in summer clothes in frigid temperatures. Feeling cold is a stress for our body and mind. I love to sit opposite the fireplace and, as in Pink Floyd’s „Time” song, „warm my bones beside the fire.” Still, cooling down the body provides many benefits for the human body. I wrote many texts about it.

To summarize this text, I want to encourage you, my Dear Friend, to stress your body in a controlled way. The three activities mentioned above will bring broadly understood well-being in the short, mid, and long term.
