“Suicide Blonde”

The INXS rock band’s song named “Suicide Blonde” reminds me of my initial, regular taking of photos.

It was in October 2015. As far as I remember, it was my second or third trip within the city, in my beloved district of Mokotow, to take pictures. I parked my car on Raclawicka Street. It was a period when I swam a lot in the swimming pool. Most of my photo trips were related to traveling to a given place by car. Thus, I did not walk as much as I do it today (I wrote this post on the 20th of April, 2020). During parking a car, the song “Suicide Blonde” was playing on the radio.

Listening to it at that moment, I felt that I was doing a good deed by going to take photos, not only for myself but also for all humanity.

The fact is that I remember correctly, the place where I parked a car. I did not get out of the car until the song stopped playing. While listening, I had the impression that I am joining a group of creative people who, by acting, doing, creating, gave something special to other people. It was not the first time when I heard this song. Still, I remember a powerful creative stimulus that appeared in my head while listening to the titled song, in this particular moment.

Since then, this incredibly creative energy has haunted me every time I hear the INXS’s “Suicide Blonde” song.

Each time I also realize that I have joined the group of artists who will leave for posterity an inspiration to create. The song provides me a powerful stimulus to create. Even if it’s 5 a.m. and within one hour, I will have to take a shower and go to work. Ok, I’m done writing today. I will turn on the title song. Maybe it brings me another thought or creative inspiration.
