Believe me, my Dear Friend, in terms of writing, the beginning is always the hardest.
The title of this text is a quote from my past text entitled “Maybe the lack of a topic to write about is an interesting topic,” which I wrote on the 8th of December, 2025. On the other hand, I wrote the current text three months later, that is, on the 4th of February, 2026. Did anything change since that time, in terms of writing? Of course, not. Today, as in many days in the past, I wanted to write something, but I did not have a specific topic. I returned from the office with a rucksack containing an additional 5 kg (11 lbs). Luckily, my injured leg does not hurt. Thus, tomorrow, I will take 10 kg (22 lbs) of additional weight in my backpack. Today, while walking, I knew one thing: I must walk slowly, carefully, and take small steps.
Only by doing it, my injury won’t return.
I simply felt, and I was right. After all, after returning, I did not feel pain in my right calf. That’s why tomorrow I plan to do a similar thing (go to the office and return on foot), but with 10 kg. Luckily, today, my upper body muscles reminded themselves that they exist. I feel them even while writing this text. I felt my upper body muscles needed some effort. After all, between the middle of August 2024 (it was a day when I first started doing rucking), and the 15th of January 2026 (it was the day when I got an injury of my right calf which last up till the day when I wrote this text), I’ve been carrying really heavy weights, starting from 5 kg and ending on 37.5 kg (83 lbs).
I remember wondering when I would increase the weight of my backpack from 37.5 kg to 40 kg.
Due to injury, I do not think it would happen in March 2026. I think it will happen in April 2026. As you see, my Dear Friend, in terms of writing, the beginning is always the hardest. This text was not an exception. Still, once I started writing, the flow of thoughts was transferred into written words almost automatically. Speaking shortly, I was writing literally what came to my mind.
