I wrote this text on the 20th of May, 2022. It was the first hot day of 2022.
I am glad that hot days were absent in April 2022. I remember that in April 2021, there were already hot days. Did I enjoy doing street photography in the hot temperature? Yes and no. Yes, because I believe there is no bad weather to photograph. Thus, I always enjoy it. Without having fun, I would not do it. Even if it’s hot. How were the temperatures in Warsaw on the 20th of May, 2022? It was 27 degrees Celsius (80,6 degrees Fahrenheit).
Indeed, I am not used to functioning in such high temperatures. The truth is that I do not want to live in the southern parts of Europe. Sun’s burning rays would get me mad. I want to feel cold most of the time during the year. The Polish climate is proper for it. The summer is relatively short. For many years I saw it as a disadvantage (like many other Poles). Today, it is, for me, an advantage.
I am tremendously happy that I live in Poland, not in the hot climate of Italy, Greece, or Spain.
In coldness, I trust. I am happy I was strolling on the first hot day of 2022. Still, I feel thrilled once I imagine wandering through Warsaw’s streets between September and April in frigid temperatures. The summer did not start, and I already miss walking in summer clothes (including the www.adammazek.com t-shirt) in the freezing temperatures of fall and winter. I cannot wait to write a post entitled “Winter is coming,” where I will stress my enthusiasm for the upcoming winter. Still, for today, I will focus on hot and warm temperatures. While writing this text, I looked at the weather forecast for the upcoming week. It will be approx. 16-21 degrees Celsius (60,8-70 degrees Fahrenheit). I hope that during summer, the temperatures in Warsaw will be similar.
