Undoubtedly, in my case, thinking is doing.
While walking, or rucking, I am often rocking in the clouds. It means that I often do not think at all. Or, I let my mind wander freely through the meanders of my imagination. Sometimes, I analyze not only my professional cases but also those related to street photography, writing, or managing the www.adammazek.com blog. It means that I am thinking. For me, it means I am doing something, even if seemingly I do nothing (e.g., while someone would observe me). I love when my mind wanders through many different worlds. Also, I love returning to the world in which I am stomping hard on the ground.
When it happens during my photo walk, my consciousness starts working on the highest possible level, with the sense of sight at the forefront.
It is a moment when there is a high probability that I will take a photo of something that catches my eye. That’s how it works in my case. It shows that thinking can indirectly direct me to take a photo. Thinking fuels my passion not only for reading and writing, but also for street photography. I love such kinds of divagations and describing my creative processes. Often, I see that these processes can vary depending on many circumstances.
Undoubtedly, there is no one proper way to create, to do street photography, or to write.
Each way is good if it only makes you start doing something. Thinking can also lead to many things. Still, we must be aware of the fact that we can overthink many things. When I notice I am overthinking something, I usually try to redirect the flow of my thoughts somewhere else, e.g., by starting a walk, or (if I walk) by visually focusing on my surroundings.
