I want my photographs to delight in the simple act of looking and seeing.
I wrote this text on the 1st of March, 2026. It was a day when I was rucking with 37.5 kg (83 lbs.) on my back and shoulders and doing street photography in my beloved district of Mokotów (over 170 pictures). As usual, I felt tremendous joy and happiness while strolling through Warsaw’s streets. I was delighting my senses through the simple act of looking and seeing. Indeed, I love the visual arts. I love reading, watching, looking, and contemplating art books. Throughout the last years, I read many books about art in the English language (please, remember, my Dear Friend, that my native language is Polish). During the next few days, I will be able to focus only on reading. Why?
It is because I have a really hectic time in my professional work.
I will have to focus on it, rather than walking and pleasing my sense of sight. Still, such breaks can only empower my desire to go out and do street photography in the subsequent days. I cannot wait to do it. I cannot wait to delight my sense of vision. Street photography empowers me in many ways. Undoubtedly, I have become much more attentive and observant since I started doing this tremendous activity in October 2015. I cannot say how many steps I took during that period of time, but I think I did more steps than the average man living in a broadly defined Western world.
I cannot wait not only for what the next will bring to me, but also for what subsequent photo walks will provide me. I love to live, and I think that, for me, doing street photography is life’s essence. My soul would partially die if I had to stop doing it. It is like oxygen to my mind, body, and soul.
