Today (I wrote this text on the 10th of May, 2026), I asked myself what my limit regarding rucking was.
Today I was walking with a rucksack weighing 40.5 kg (89 lbs) for the second day in a row. How did I feel? I felt great. I made almost 10k steps and took almost 200 pictures while walking. Contrary to yesterday, when I did not take a break, today I had to take a break on the bench. What does it mean? It means that my body was prepared for an increase in weight to be carried on my back and shoulders. It was adapted to the hectic 37.5 kg burden. Now, it is getting used to and adapted to the new heavyweight. Will I manage to increase the weight of my backpack in the future? I hope so. Indeed, I hope to walk with a heavy burden until my life or health lets me do it. I was writing this text while being forty-one years old.
I hope that I will be rucking for at least the next forty years.
While thinking about all these things, I asked myself how much I weigh. I will weigh myself tomorrow, because while writing this text, I was already past my eating period. The truth is that I do not want to weigh myself and the food I ate, but myself. I am wondering what percentage of my total body weight I was carrying today and yesterday. We will see tomorrow, considering I won’t forget to weigh myself. I love rucking. Undoubtedly, street photography and rucking match perfectly. There was no better thing to do for myself than starting to walk with a heavy rucksack (I started doing it in the middle of August 2024). I cannot wait to see what the future holds. As of now, I should go to bed, wondering what my limit regarding rucking is.
