The more we look around and look for happiness, the more we become blind to the fact that peace is usually proper under our noses.
I am not an exception. The same as the majority of other people, for long years, I had been looking for a broadly defined happiness somewhere outside. Indeed, I was looking for a sense of peace outside my mind and psyche. Also, I was not looking for ease in my beloved ones, my surroundings, and where I live.
So, where do most people look for happiness?
They often do it very externalized, both out of their minds and surroundings. Almost everyone tries to find happiness in money. I do not believe that money provides deep satisfaction. Many people seek the peacefulness of the psyche through drugs, sex, or alcohol. These are very extreme issues in which people seek oblivion. These things can be hazardous. There are a lot of humans who gain only troubles after receiving drugs, and so on. Nevertheless, we have to accept that these things are the basic things in which others find consolation.
I believe that complete, broadly defined happiness is not a state people can gain.
Thus, I do not seek peace and harmony as much as others.
Nevertheless, I believe that we all should find peace deep in our minds. If we cannot do this, often it turns out to be someone close to us (child, partner, parent, broadly understood family and friends). Very often, the mix of spending time with our beloved ones and our passion provides us with a lot of ease. I recommend we all focus on our beloved ones and our hobby to find happiness.
Sparkles of this world (alcohol, parties, widely recognized luxury) misleads us from essential things in our lives.
