In today’s post, I will write about which book inspired me to move forward with photography.
The book that inspired me photographically was “50 Photo Icons” by Taschen Publishing House. It was the first book by the German publishing house that I read in its entirety, from cover to cover. I remember that while reading it, I wondered why I couldn’t change the world through photography. After all, I was and am no better or worse than all the photographers and artists who have lived and are living on the planet. I also wanted and still want to contribute to giving incentives to my contemporaries and future generations.
This is how this blog came into being.
It is the fruit of my creative labor. I believe that I will be able to work on it for decades to come. By doing everything I do and what you can see on this blog, my Dear Friend, undoubtedly, fruitions will become fundaments for new Taschen books about my creative activity. I have no doubts that sooner or later, Taschen will publish my works, both visual and written.
Moreover, “Diaries” will become my opus magnum.
I can see that Taschen will publish many editions of my works, with posts as separate editions and “Diaries” as another edition. Or, they will issue a mix of all my visual and written assignments. I am confident that everything you read and see on www.adammazek.com is not worse than everything you can spot in the book that inspired me to move forward with photography.
Nevertheless, in today’s post (I wrote it on the 15th of April, 2023), I want to congratulate all the people, with photographers and Taschen’s editors at the forefront, who were involved and contributed to the making of the magnificent album entitled “50 Photo Icons.” Thank you all for your inspiration! I want to inspire others on the same level as you did.
