While doing street photography, I wear sneakers in 90% of cases.
You may wonder, my Dear Friend, in which shoes I do street photography. The answer is simple. I walk and take pictures on Warsaw’s streets in sneakers. I also do it, even if it is frigidly cold outside, and more than 90% of people wear warm winter boots. I walk in light summer shoes. Do I have a favorite model? No. The cheaper sneakers I have, the better. I know people can do art from each part of human areas of life, with fashion and shoe design at the forefront. I do not deny it. Still, I try to avoid fixing myself on this issue. I do not plan to buy Taschen’s “The Adidas Archive. The Footwear collection.” book.
I have tens of other books to read. I won’t buy a Taschen book for the sake of buying it.
Many different areas of life interest me much more, with art (e.g., paintings, cinema, music), culture, and space exploration at the forefront. Regarding fashion, while doing street photography since the summer of 2021, I have been wearing www.adammazek.com t-shirts. In today’s post, I want to give you, my Dear Friend, one piece of advice. Wear such shoes so that you will be able to walk comfortably. Of course, if you care about your personal visual image, wear what suits your taste. For me, the cheaper sneakers, the better.
Even if I wore out my sneakers, I would throw them away and buy new, cheap ones.
While writing about all these things, I realized one more thing. In general, I always prefer to buy black or dark shoes for street photography. Of course, the reason is practical. When my shoes get dirty, the dirt won’t be visible on dark sneakers. The truth is that quite frequently, I walk near mud or puddles. The best option is when there is snow lying everywhere. In this case, I can always clean my shoes in the pure white snow.
