I am 37 years old. I do not belong to young people for many years anymore.
Still, the older I am, the more I have to do with young people. The more I do it, the more I realize that I must be a role model for them. I am still figuring out how to do it. Undoubtedly, by doing the right things and saying good words. Moreover, not doing nasty things and saying incorrect words can also play a crucial role in advising young people. While thinking about all these things, I realized that one could not talk to young people like:
When I was young, I did this and that.
In the same behaving in contradiction to words. When I was young, and when I heard similar texts, I told myself:
So what if you did something years ago? Today, you do the opposite, and it counts for me.
That’s why, to be a good role model for young people, one must always behave appropriately, without a doubt. I know that most young people are good observers. They observe, listen, and analyze what older, more experienced people do and say. I know it is impossible to be a demigod who will always be doing and saying everything perfectly and will always be correct. If such demigods appeared in this world, living in such a place would become a nightmare.
Doing wrong things and saying bad words is, indeed, human nature.
Still, all these issues do not mean we should stop trying to become better versions of ourselves compared to yesterday. We should do it not only for young humans but also for ourselves. I’ve already written a text when I wrote, “I believe in youth.” Nothing had changed since that time. I have no doubts that young people will take care of this world properly. I believe in future generations.
