Today (I wrote this text on the 27th of February, 2026), I finished my 136 hours of fasting.
How do I feel? I feel great. As I said before, I simply knew that fasting would not hurt me anyhow. I broke my fast at 4 p.m. after eating a handful of pistachios. Why did I break it? I simply decided to do it. My mind wanted something to eat. I know that my stomach was not hungry. I would say that during the whole period of 136 hours of fasting, I did not feel hungry. I felt my stomach was not empty. I felt great during the whole time of fasting. I thought it would be difficult to break my previous record of 94 hours of fasting. Breaking this record was easier than I expected. Really, I thought it would be much more difficult. I thought that during the 100th hour of fasting, my mind would go crazy.
Luckily, nothing spectacular happened.
I felt focused and tuned in. I must add that in the first part of my fasting, I was also dry fasting. I did not drink anything for 40 hours. I did all these things for my health. I felt I needed it. It is possible I will repeat it in the next few months. Luckily, tomorrow, I will be doing street photography. The temperatures in Warsaw should be really high (+14 degrees Celsius [57 degrees Fahrenheit]!). Thus, I plan to take the heaviest possible weight on my back and shoulders (37.5 kg [83 lbs]).
I love life. Also, believe me or not, I love eating! Eating after such a period of fasting was a tremendous experience. Food tasted as never before. I felt much lighter than before. It is not the case that I was fat. Still, my belly decreased, even though it was not as big as in many other people.
